I'm so excited for my order! When will it ship?
We have a current processing time of 3-10 business days 🙌
Because our team works quickly, changes to orders may not be able to be honored. If your order has shipped, our team is unable to make any changes. Because of this, we highly recommend taking an extra look at your order before placing it to ensure everything is correct (including quantities, shipping address, etc).
Preorders & Monthly Bookish Boxes will ship per the timeframe stated in the listing.
KINDLY NOTE: During large sales, new product drops, or other situations that may largely increase our order load, the shop processing time may increase. Typically this is shared upon the announcement of the sale/product drop and accompanied by your order confirmation email stating the processing time.
How long does it take for my order to reach my Bookish home once I receive a tracking number?
US shipping time is typically 1-5 business days, while international shipping is typically 2-8 weeks.
This is a typical timeline for USPS, however, this timeline will fluctuate with USPS. Please allow for longer processing time, during sales or holiday due to the high order volume.
When your order enters our packaging phase, you'll receive an email containing your tracking number. Please allow 3-7 business days for your tracking number to update, while we package your order, and USPS scans in your package.
What color will my shirt or joggers be?
All printed items will arrive in the color and ink color combo in the listing.
Due to our high volume, we are unable to take color requests/changes.
Exchange Policy
All sales are final. If you accidentally ordered the incorrect product/size- please reach out within 48 hours of your purchase to our CS Team (shop@thebookishbox.com), as we may be able to correct your order. We work quickly to fulfill orders, so it is possible your order may ship before it reaches the 48 hour mark. If your order has shipped, we are unable to make any changes.
If you received the wrong size (from what was initially ordered), we will absolutely send the correct size! Reach out to our CS Team (shop@thebookishbox.com) so we can make this right for you! 💫
Every now & again we may be able to step outside our policy, and offer an exchange. In this case, we do require a payment to cover the re-shipping fee, as well as the original item being sent back to our office (cost not covered by The Bookish Shop) but we will be covering the cost of products.
Return & Cancellation Policy
Return Policy:
All items are final sale. If you receive anything defective, in any way, please let us know and we will be glad to send a replacement ❣️ Please contact us within 7 business days of receiving an item if you need to report problem. Every now & again we may be able to step outside our policy, and offer a return. In this case, we do require the original item being sent back to our office (cost not covered by The Bookish Shop), and once the item arrives the refund will be issued.
Cancellation Policy:
Orders are able to be cancelled within 48 hours of ordering or until the order has shipped- which ever occurs first. We work quickly to get your order in the works, so it is possible your order may ship before you reach the 48 hour mark. If your order has shipped, we are unable to cancel your order even if it has not been 48 hours.
PLEASE NOTE: If an order placed experiences delays (preorders, monthly boxes, shop orders), this supersedes the cancellation/refund policy. If an order placed has delays, we will always allow a cancellation/refund, before the order ships or before fulfillment on that monthly box/preorder begins.
When will my preorder ship?
Preorders will ship per the timeframe stated in the listing. We'll be sure to send an email once we begin fulfillment on our preorders, as well as send an email containing your tracking number.
If for any reason we are having a delay with a preorder, we will be sure to share this via our newsletter, as well as our Instagram account (@thebookishbox & @thebookishshop).

Help! One of my items arrived damaged! How can we fix this?
We are so sorry to hear you received a broken/damaged item! It is such a bummer to get your order, only to realize something is broken. Although we do our very best to securely package all items, sometimes boxes have an extra rough transit. Please reach out to our customer service (shop@thebookishbox.com) so we can get a replacement out to you and/or we can go over replacement options. Generally, this process would include the damaged item being sent back to our HQ. To expedite the process, please include a photo of the damaged item in your initial email 🤗 View our Refund Policy here.

Should we find that our replacement policies are being abused by profiteering, we, in turn, would need to reevaluate our replacement policies with this person, and potentially not offer replacements for this person going forward. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any replacements that we suspect or determine you are buying to resell.
Lost or Stolen Package Policy
When we ship your box, you will receive a tracking number via email. Once your package is dropped off at USPS, it's the responsibility of the Postal Service, and out of our hands.
If your package is showing as delivered, but you are not seeing your package, please double check your front porch, as well as check with your nearby neighbors, as your box may have accidentally been dropped off there.
If you do not receive your package, please reach out to your local USPS before sending an email to customer service. If they can confirm your package has been lost, please reach out to our customer service (shop@thebookishbox.com), and we can get you set up with a replacement.
For lost or stolen boxes, if we have enough stock left over to replace your box, we will gladly do so! We do require a payment to cover the re-shipping fee, but we will be covering the cost of products.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes❣️ we ship everywhere except the UK & Mexico.
For all international orders, The Bookish Box & Shop are not responsible for any fees at customs.
All International orders are shipped via the DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) service. The consumer is responsible for duty, tax, and customs collection fees upon delivery. The Bookish Box & Shop does not collect duty, tax, and any customs collection fees from the customer upon checkout, and does not utilize the DDP (Delivery Duty Prepaid) service. With this in mind, The Bookish Box & Shop is not signed up for EU IOSS clearance and will not provide an IOSS number.
Oh no! An item is missing from my order! Can I get this sent to me?

I'm struggling with my Bookish Shop woodwick candle! Please help!
The woodwicks do require a little different strategy than normal cotton wicks, so here are some tips & tricks:
• Make sure your wick is trimmed to between 1/8″ – 3/16″ / 3.2mm – 4.8mm before lighting. If the wick is too long, the wax will not pull up the wick and the wick will extinguish.
• Wooden wicks do need a little attention and tending to before each burn, similar to cotton wicks. Be sure to gently snap off the ash or burnt wood along the top edge of the wick and then light as usual.
• If when burning the candle for a long period of time you notice the flame height getting too low, it may be necessary to tap off any excess ash or burnt wood along the top of the wick. The flame will then return to its proper optimal height.
• Be very careful not to let any debris from the wick (or anything else!) Fall into the candle.
• Extinguish candle when 1/2” / 12.7mm of wax is remaining.
• Do not burn candle more than 4 hours at one time.

I received my order, but my preorder or Monthly Bookish Box is missing. Did you forget to include this?
Preorders and Bookish Boxes will ship per the timeframe stated in the listing, while shop items will ship within our current shop processing time. When a preorder or Bookish Box Subscription is placed with shop items, we will fulfill the order as a whole. But have no fear- we still have you down to receive your preorder or Bookish Box once we begin shipping. We'll be sure to send an email once we begin fulfillment on our preorders or Bookish Boxes, as well as send an email containing your tracking number 🤗

Am I able to cancel my preorder?
Pre-order cancelation requests must be emailed within 48 hours of purchasing. Unfortunately, cancelations will not be made after 48 hours.

Can I use one of your designs for my own projects?
Our team and the artists we work with put so much time and love into these designs. All designs are owned by The Bookish Shop, all rights reserved.
Do not duplicate or copy in anyway, be kind & original.
I requested a refund, but the funds have not reached my account yet. When will my money be returned?
Refunds are typically available in 3-7 business days, according to your bank's policies. Once we issue the refund, it is in the bank's hands to process the refund.
PayPal refunds are typically available in 24 hours.
How do I apply an upgrade to my Bookish shirt?
Due to supplier shortages, we are currently not able to offer shirt upgrades for our Shop or our Bookish Boxes.
If you've already renewed for a box with an upgraded tee or purchased a shop order with an upgraded tee, these will still be honored.
If/when supplier shortages are no longer an issue, we will absolutely let you all in on the good news🥰
Do I receive any perks for being a Bookish Box Subscriber?
Whooohoo! We are so happy you've subscribed! The Bookish Box Current Active subscribers can shop the site and save on every order. Use your subscriber code for 15% off every order.

How do I take care of my new shirt?!
All of our Bookish shirts come pre-shrunken, and if washed & dried as indicated on the tag, they should not shrink 🥰
Turn your shirt inside out, machine wash in warm water with like colors only. Do not use chlorine bleach.
How to dry:
Tumble dry on low. If you are wanting to iron your shirt, make sure not to iron over the design and only use low-medium heat.
How do I take care of my new joggers?!
All of our Bookish joggers come pre-shrunken, and if washed & dried as indicated on the tag, they should not shrink 🥰

The item I want is sold out! Will it be restocked?
We are so happy you are loving our Bookish goodies! If an item you are interested in is currently sold out, be sure to "Favorite" that item! That way, if the item is restocked in the future you'll receive an email letting you know 🥰 This also helps us know which items are in high demand so we are more likely to be able to restock it.
Exclusive items + previous box items are generally not restocked.

EU Shipping
Starting July 1st, 2021, all shipments going to member countries within the European Union (EU) will be charged a "Value-Added Tax" or "VAT tax," which will have to be paid by the recipient to receive the goods upon delivery.
All International orders are shipped via the DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) service. The consumer is responsible for duty, tax, and customs collection fees upon delivery. The Bookish Box & Shop does not collect duty, tax, and any customs collection fees from the customer upon checkout, and does not utilize the DDP (Delivery Duty Prepaid) service. With this in mind, The Bookish Box & Shop is not signed up for EU IOSS clearance and will not provide an IOSS number.
Proper Harmonization Numbers will be included. Once your box or order has shipped, this package is no longer in hands. If the package is returned to us due to lack of payment of VAT/Customs, the customer is responsible for reshipment, and no refunds will be provided.
UK Shipping
Due to the updated VAT requirements, we are currently unable to ship to the UK/ accept orders with a UK shipping address.
We are working to get our VAT approved, and will be sure to update our UK fam once this happens. Thank you so much for your patience with this!
Can I combine my orders?
We are unable to combine orders to ship together due to the high volume we experience. Fortunately, shipping costs are calculated by the weight of items, so orders being placed separately will not cause a higher cost in shipping💕
Shop items will always ship separately from your Monthly Box, within our shop processing timeline.
Book Replacement Qualifications
These standards are based off what the publishers outline as the return policy for us to return books to them, as well as the policies of similar bookstores. If your book qualifies for a replacement, please reach out to our CS Team (hello@thebookishbox.com) so they can assist you🥰 Kindly note, if we are unable to issue a replacement due to stock, we will go over other option with our subscribers.
