Members' Day is an exclusive sale for active Bookish and Darkly Box subscribers and will include brand-new Bookish items, previous Exclusive Luxe Edition preorders, and previous box books and items.
There will be MASSIVE DISCOUNTS for non-doorbuster items!
Members' Day is an exclusive sale for active Bookish and Darkly Box subscribers only.
All orders placed during Members' Day will have a 6-8 week processing time.

Yes, Merbers' Day deals will be available for in-store purchase Saturday, June 6th, at 8:00 A.M. PT until closing.
Yes, in-store pickup lets you shop online and collect your order at our bookstore. This option is free and is a great way to get your items quickly without paying for shipping.
How:
Simply add items to your cart on our website as you normally would. During checkout, select "pickup" as your delivery method. You'll receive an email confirmation once your order is ready for pickup.*Please Note: In-store pickup is not available for preorders, monthly subscription boxes, or Members Only Exclusive Luxe Editions.
In-store pickup processing time:
Due to the high volume of orders, in-store pickup orders will have the same processing time as online Members' Day orders, 6-8 weeks. We'll send you an email notification as soon as it's ready. Please wait for this email before heading to the store.
What do I need to bring to pick up my order?
When you arrive at the store, please have your order confirmation email (either on your phone or a printed copy) and a valid photo ID. This helps us ensure your order is given to the right person.

Members' Day is exclusive to active Bookish Box and Darkly Box subscribers. To gain access to Members' Day, you would need to subscribe to The Bookish Box or The Darkly Box before Members' Day begins.
Active Subscribers will be able to access the site by simply logging into their Bookish account from Saturday, June 6th, at 8:30 A.M. PT through Sunday, June 7th, at 8:30 A.M. PT. Active Subscriber accounts will be automatically given access—no password is needed to access.
To receive access to Members' Day, you must subscribe by June 4th at 11:59 P.M. PT. Your subscription status must be set to Active, and a June Bookish or Darkly box must have been purchased.
Kindly note: while June 4th at 11:59 p.m. PT is the cutoff, it is possible that we will not have boxes available before the deadline if they sell out.
All of our subscription boxes are currently operating off a waitlist. Our waiting lists function on a first-come, first-served basis. Joining a waiting list does not guarantee you'll be invited to subscribe to a certain month's box. Click here to join!
Please note, after skipping 4 consecutive times, you temporarily lose early access and Members Only Shop privileges, including Members' Day. However, your member privileges will be restored upon your next successful renewal. Please be sure to reach out to customer service at hello@thebookishbox.com prior to June 4th at 11:59 P.M. PT to ensure your subscription is restored.

If your May 20th renewal fails, please adjust your account as needed to ensure it can successfully renew on the next renewal attempt. Your account will re-attempt to renew 4 times (May 21st-May 23rd). After the 4th attempt, your subscription is canceled, and your account will no longer be set up to be given access.
You would then want to re-subscribe when we open slots. You would need to re-subscribe by June 4th at 11:59 P.M. PT in order to receive access.
TROUBLESHOOTING 1:
Ensure you are logged into the account associated with your Active Bookish or Darkly Box Subscription. The email on your account would match the email address you receive your tracking numbers for monthly box shipments.
TROUBLESHOOTING 2:
Ensure your May 20th renewal was successful and that your subscription status is set to "Active," not "Canceled."
TROUBLESHOOTING 3:
If you are sure you are logged into the account associated with your Bookish or Darkly Box Subscription AND you are sure your subscription status is set to active, not canceled, please reach out to our Customer Service Team (hello@thebookishbox.com).
An easy way to check before Members' Day goes live is to log in to your Bookish Account associated with your Active Subscription and then attempt to access the collection called "Members Only Shop." If you have access to this collection, your account is set to have access during Members' Day. However, the access is revoked if your subscription is canceled after you do the test (either by manually canceling or by not having your May 20th renewal successfully processed). If you cannot access this collection, reach out to our Customer Service Team so they can address any issues and ensure you have access during Members' Day.
Kindly note: Skipping your May 20th renewal does not revoke your access. As long as your subscription status is set to active, not canceled, you will have access to Members' Day. However, if you skip your May 20th renewal and that puts you at your 4th consecutive skip, you'll temporarily lose access to the Members' Only shop and Members' Day Sale.
If you have skipped 4 consecutive times, contact our Customer Service Team at hello@thebookishbox.com once you sucessfully renew for a subscription, and they will help make sure you have access to the Members' Day Sale.
-Ensure your correct shipping address is set to be your default shipping address well before June 6th.
-If you are worried about an item selling out before you check out, check out with that item ASAP, and once the order is submitted, come back to shop! We recommend looking at what items will be available, creating a "must have" list, and purchasing the items on that list ASAP. For all items not on your "must have" list, come back and shop after your "must have" list has been purchased. Note that shipping and fees will apply per order, as orders cannot be merged.
-Set an alarm on your phone for 5 minutes before the sale starts. This way, you can be ready to log in once the site opens.
-If you do not live in the PT timezone, we recommend looking up what time 8:30 A.M. PT is in your timezone. Don't let the timezones rob you of your Bookish goodies!
-Set up your express pay for easier checkout well before June 6th. This would include things such as ShopPay, PayPal, ApplePay, and GooglePay, which can assist with a speedy checkout. Kindly note: any express pay option will take you to another screen to log in and process payment. We also recommend using a card on file or having your card information on hand before June 6th at 8 A.M. PT, including the billing address for your card. (Please note that express pay options are unavailable for purchasing monthly subscription boxes).
-Ensure your May 20th renewal was successful before May 25th! If you do not successfully renew for a June box, your account will be marked as canceled, and your account will not be given access to Members' Day. If your account fails to renew, you must re-subscribe when we open slots. You need to re-subscribe by June 4th at 11:59 P.M. PT in order to receive access.

All items that do not sell out during Members' Day will be available in the shop after Members' Day starting Monday, August 3, 2026 at 1 P.M. PT to the general public. However, if the item was discounted during Members' Day, it will no longer be offered at the discounted price after Members' Day.
Our Pride Collection will still go up for the month of June, but any new items would be added to Members' Day as a doorbuster.
Aside from the collection mentioned above, there will be no other Shop Drops during the month of June due to Members' Day.
The Members Only Shop will only have the Shop Subscription, no other listings, as the entire site is now for Members.
Shop Drops will resume in July.
Yes. The site will be closed down several times to accommodate Members' Day.
The site will be closed during the following periods:
- Friday, June 5th, at 8:30 A.M. PT through Saturday, June 6th, at 8:29 A.M. PT to ensure everything runs smoothly for Members' Day, which begins at 8:30 A.M. PT on June 6th.
-From 8:30 A.M. PT to 12 P.M. PT on June 7th to ensure the shop is back to normal.
No orders will be combined during Members' Day due to the high volume The Bookish Shop will experience.
Changes: All sales are final during Members' Day. We cannot make any adjustments (of any kind) to your order once it has been placed. Please be extra careful (checking quantities of items in your cart, products in your cart, and your shipping address) when submitting your order.
Cancelations: Orders are able to be canceled by customer service within 48 hours of ordering or until the order has shipped—whatever has occurred first. Kindly note, customer service works Monday-Thursday and may have a response time longer than 48 hours. Our fulfillment team works quickly to ship your order, so it is possible your order may ship before the cancelation email is processed by our team. If your order has shipped, we are unable to cancel your order even if it has not been 48 hours. If your order has not shipped, but it has been over 48 hours since the order was placed, we are unable to cancel your order.
Yes.
Our system now offers a cart save feature! During the first hour, your cart timer will start running for 10 minutes after you add the first item. Be sure to check out before the time is up to secure your items!
If another customer has added the same item to their cart a millisecond before you, the cart will update with an error before checkout to let you know that it did not secure the item. If you receive an error message, you can refresh the page to continue shopping.
After an hour, the cart timer will start running for 25 minutes, allowing customers to shop more leisurely.
We will not be restocking any books and most other items.
The only items we can restock are our apparel, candles, and paper goods; however, this is not guaranteed.
Kindly note: If someone cancels within 48 hours of placing their order, we will restock the items from their order. Because of this, you may see some items restocked during Members' Day or Public Access.
Yes, there will be doorbuster items for Members' Day.
All doorbuster items are items that will not be offered at a discount. All products that will be offered as a doorbuster will be stated on this page by 5 P.M. PT on Tuesday, June 2nd.
When shopping during Members' Day, you'll know a product is a doorbuster because it will not be discounted. We will also have a collection called "Doorbusters" to help.
Yes. Our system offers a bot protection feature to ensure that only our customers secure their purchases at checkout, not bots for resellers. It will be a checkbox to confirm that you are human.
Our current shop processing time will be the processing time for all orders placed outside of Members' Day. You can find it at the top banner of our webpage.
